Why did you choose St. Norbert College?
I chose St. Norbert College because of the great academic opportunities and I wanted to take full advantage of them. Family is something I really value, and attending St. Norbert allowed me to be close to home. The small size of the institution is something I was attracted to as well. I’ve had the opportunity to participate in cross country, track & field, student government association, and studied abroad in Madrid, Spain. All while continuing to receive a focused and excellent education.
How has financial aid impacted your college experience?
Receiving financial aid has allowed me to take full advantage of my college experience. I have been able to fully focus on my education without being concerned of its cost.
Did receiving financial aid impact your decision to attend St. Norbert?
Receiving financial aid did impact my decision to attend St. Norbert College. It was a school that was at the top of my college list and this aid made my decision easier to make.
What will a college degree mean to you?
A college degree will be very special to me. This degree will be a testament of all the hard work and dedication throughout my academic career. It will also be very important as I will be the first person in my family to receive a college degree.
Have you learned something during college you didn’t expect?
I have learned a great deal of unexpected things during my time at St. Norbert. I’ve realized that I have a passion for serving my community. It is when I am serving that I feel most fulfilled. Travel and the desire to learn about diverse cultures is something I have found great interest in; my opportunity to travel abroad has influenced this.
What are your plans after graduation? After graduation, I would like to travel a great deal while continuing to calling Wisconsin home. My goal is to be in a career that allows for my continuous personal and professional growth; I would ultimately like to be a business owner. I also plan to continue my education.
