I chose Silver Lake College because I wanted to attend a local college, so that I could stay active in my community.

Financial aid has made college affordable for me, so that I may receive a high-quality liberal arts education from a local four-year college.

What will a college degree mean to you?
A college degree will provide me with the skill set to find a job within my field of study and the ability to continue advancing within that field.

Have you learned something during college you didn’t expect?
I am learning a lot about myself as I grow and change as a young adult. When I first started college, I was a psychology major. I learned this wasn’t for me and decided to take accounting, where I learned I love working in the business field and crunching numbers.

What are your plans after graduation?
After I graduate, I plan to stay in the Manitowoc community and continue to work at Americollect, my employer for the past 3-1/2 years. I have recently been named support team specialist and am excited to use my degree at Americollect to continue to grow with such a great company.
